Uranus

Hi...

I took a 2min video of Uranus about 6 months ago.
i processed it through registax and this is what i ended up with.

Can someone tell me why i got those concentric rings in the middle??

is it a camera problem or a processing error?
This was taken through eyepiece projection...

Hi Johnny,

I have seen similar effects, but only on very small (undersampled) images. This looks more like it was oversampled, unless you're showing us a scaled up image post-processing?

Only thing I can think of is how good was the focus? Is it possible you have over sharpened a slightly de-focussed image?

Uranus is a tough target to focus on. I usually focus on a brighter star nearby, then swing back to Uranus for the video capture.
