Problems with colors using dbk21

I'm new here on IceInspace, so this is my first post ever.
I have trouble with getting color using my dbk21 camera. I've used the y800 codec and y800 compression. The avi turns out bw in registax 6 Even though i use the debayer filter (I've tried different combinations). I've tried debayering in Firecapture - still online bw.

So, does anyone know the precise settings I need to use in IC Capture when I use y800 codec and y800 compression.

I know there are different settings in IC Capture, and I suspect that I've done some choises that makes it impossible to extract any color info from the raw files.

I hope someone can give some good advice.......

As mentioned in the article, you need to use 'GB' in Registax for debayering Y800 data.

Since writing that tutorial though, I only now use Autostakkert to debayer, align & stack Y800 data as it is the best way I've found to retain quality in the data.

I think where you are going wrong is: You perhaps are not turning the on board debayering to OFF while capturing your Y800 data..?

Try this tutorial as well.

And thanks Arek..That's funny

Thank you, I think that's the missing part; to set debayer to OFF. I've read a lot of comments and discussions, but not found that one single, clrear answer to that quiestion. Until now.

Great camera, but there is a lot to work out before it becomes straight forward & easy to use without thinking. I get a very good result from YUY2 + unspecified too but it's limited to 30FPS. Very simple though - What you see in the preview/live feed is what you get in the AVI.
