M29 with a touch of H alpha

When I recently posted an image of this open cluster in Cygnus there seemed to be a fair bit of nebulosity in the field. I therefore hit it with 200 minutes of Ha the other night and this is the result. There is a fair bit going on in that field.

Cheers

Steve

The Ha region certainly add to the shot. Very smooth with great colors. Top field.

That's a nice image Steve - nice colour work and great to see an open cluster as well!

Looks good Steve, but I wonder how far you could stretch it to bring out those dark globules. Perhaps more time would give the result?

Thanks Paul. What you say is quite true and I might go back to get some more data at some stage. M29 was never a high priority target though but just something to do while I waited for something else to rise.

A very worthwhile result then Steve and quite interesting too

You are composing more images with foreign data than home grown these days.

Mike
