I'm pretty sure Mark is going..

Should be a great night! Make sure someone takes a camera to take some happy snaps of the crew..

and someone has to do a full and complete writeup after!

I'm jealous of you guys.. we'll have to organise a sydney one soon.

I don't know about a camera Ice. You know how popular flashing lights are at a star party. About as popular as a blind bondi mullet in a pool party. But I'll give it a try

That's a shame David. But we're still young so there'll be plenty of other times.

I hope you guys have a great time.
Mike, we definitely have to organise a Sydney-siders star party. Say, in the middle of winter - I hate mozzies.
Paul R, you don't need a flash, just take a longer exposure than usual and make sure everyone is standing as still as they possibly can so they don't blur the picture You have to take pics for your report, please!

That might be hard Silvie as we'll be jumping from scope to scope checking out Naglers, Panoptics, Celestron 80mmED, imaging systems, mounts, guiding and tracking systems, You know just the usual stuff I don't think Mike has enough room on his website for all the reports THE OTHERS are going to write. (I'm just supplying the venue )

What sort of photos Silvie? Like Striker trying to fit a Celestron C11 and G11 Losmandy mount and pillar into his pocked without anyone noticing

Be more worried if Tony arrives with a trailer and the Mapleton Observatory disappears.

Yep. I did.

Gotta be fast to keep up in here. Your chasing me and I'm chasing others.

That's why we gotta watch Tony, he pinches things from your post faster than you can get back there. Beware Mapleton!

Gotta go, there is an absolutely brilliant documentary on the History channel right now about the real Oskar Schindler.

Haha Paul, never know when you're going to need the evidence eh?
A big group pic would be nice, a few shots of all the gear, the usual. Are you guys going to take some astropics as well or is this just purely observing fun?

I want to do it all. My wife asked me this morning if I'd be home before sunrise on sunday morning. (I think she wants to get the Chippendales out before i get home ) My response was "How would I know"

I'll certainly be doing Saturn with a variety of gear, hopefully jupiter when it gets high enough. Maybe some moon shots and saturn shots for acropolite using my digital camera mounting bracket. Get the D300 out and try for 47 Tuc or Omega Cent if the moons not too bad. Have a peek through few good scopes. You know the usual fun Saturday night stuff
