M-31 from -22 deg Latitude

Hello,
There it is my attempt on another northern object, this time M-31. This image it is not as good as could be because the seeing it is getting bad as the summer approaches and also beacause I have a window of just 2 hours a day for capturing. Anyway, this is the best I could do.

A version of full resolution is here

Image:
Luminance: 25 frames of 10 min. unbinned
RGB: 15 frames of 10 minutes for each channel unbinned
Processing:
CCDStack and PixInsight

I hope you like and thanks for looking,

Fernando

Cool

My man!!
Fernando...
That's outstanding
I'm at -37 Lat and M31 only clears the horizon at 11.5 deg
will never get even close to that

That's a great picture - better than a lot of Northern Hemisphere attempts.

Great image Fernando - some excellent details in there! What equipment (scope / camera) did you use?

Thank you so much for the nice comment. Here I get it with max elevation of 26 deg. My luck is the dark sky I have now.

The world <here> on the original post is a link that opens the larger image.

Thanks David !! I used an APO TMB 92mm f/5.5 and a ST8300M. The image was guided through an OAG and a Lodestar in PHD.

Best Regards,

Fernando

I think that's one to be proud of given the altitude above the horizon.

Cheers

Wow Fernando, You must be happy with that picture it's really impressive.

I would love to have a go at it but it is way to low in the north sky from Tasmania.

Well done.

Thank you Steve. I know this image is far from to be a good one, but it gave me so much work to get that I am actually enjoying it very much.

Thank you for the nice comments. I would try, if that wouldn't cause too much trouble for you. In my case I could get the image from my observatory in home.

Thank you Mike. You are right, a little more FOV would be welcome. I thought to compose a mosaic, but the conditions, maily the elevation of the object, wouldn't allow to succeed.
