Flame Nebula

Alnitak and Flame Nebula (NGC2024)

Almost at dawn. I had no time to more shots

First shot with my new (and first) guiding set !

GSO 305 mm - Canon XT - guiding by Vixen 70 mm and DSI-1 - 10 minutos - 5 frames - iso 800

It's a stunning region. The Flame Nebula never gets the attention it deserves. If it was on it's own, away from the Horse Head and Orion Nebula, it would constantly be imaged for it's own sake.

Thanks, all you guys that spent time answering my post.
This region is very difficult for shot without saturation and burst the glow of some parts.
I will try again to get more frames.
