Comet 168P/Hergenrother quickie

A quickie out the kitchen window just on dusk, low altitude. 4x1 minutes at ISO 400 through a Kson ED80 at F5.5. So yeah it's bright. Silly satellite passing through also.

Edit, just realised I named the file 186 instead of 168. I must be going lisdexic or something.

Excellent result Kevin, for just 4 minutes exposure total. These recent images have convinced me to have a go at this myself tonight!

Thanks all.

Keep trying for it. It might only be mag 9 but it's worth a go.

The tail looks very dusty rather than having an ion tail. At about 0.44 au from Earth it's at close approach and heading north in declination.
