Falling Skies , the series . Heads up .

Hi all , I was in the local video shop last week and spotted a 3 disc box set of a series called " Falling Skies " , it was $29 so I grabbed it , and had 10 episodes ,the 1st series , I put the 1st disc in of 4 episodes and ,,, well I watched all 4 , really good , its typical Generic "Massachusetts 'USA' " after the alien invasion , , bad ass aliens too with cool weapons that wasted the worlds millitary in no time .. ( shut up Brian ) .
I have sinced watched all 10 episodes and I think Steven Spielberg has another winner on his hands ? , its full of twists , intriegue , people *****ing , dieing , with aliens winning left , right and center .and as I said ' Bad Assed looking Aliens ' Cool .
Anyone else seen this yet ?
I will go back to the video store and ask about the 2nd series this weekend ,,

Reasonable score so will hunt it down, cheers for the heads-up.

Based on much TV/movie watching and comparing to IMDb scores, I have come to the conclusion that anything that scores below 6.5 is not worth watching.
6.5 to 7 is touch-and-go.
7+ is worth watching and anything over 8.5 (The Wire(9.5), Deadwood(9.0), Boardwalk Empire(8.7), Breaking Bad(9.4) etc etc) is must see TV (to personal taste ofcourse)

This is my favorite series ATM
Totally awsome and hanging out for season 3
Last episode of season 2 ends on a cliff hanger
Walking dead is another great series

2nd series definitely better than the first.

as for IMDB- i used a similar scale- anything above 7 was worth a go.
