Imaging scope

It's time to get over my reflector prejudice... and use the ED80 as guide scope LOL.

SO, I have narrowed my choices down to 3 scopes - ALL GSO's:

1. Richtey-Chretien 8" f/8 astrograph
2. Newt. 8" f/4
3. Newt. 12" f/4

Are any of these going to be a challenge for the HEQ5 once all kitted up with the ED 80 and a Canon 5D MkII? I am hinking the 12" may be pushing things somewhat! If the 12" is pushing it, could use an Orion mini guider instead.

Are RC's DEFINITELY better than Newts in terms of image?

I wish I'd grabbed that Vixen R200SS when it was offered here recently.... ah well!

Serious discussion an persuasive help appreciated.
