It was pretty interesting to see how much effort goes into producing the primary mirror.

You hear about the time it takes to produce these largel mirrors but you really don't get a grasp of how much of a set back it would be if something went wrong. I think the movie does well to give the viewer a more engaging understanding of the importance of telescope building.
