Google Star Trek

You have to have a bit of a chuckle at the Google 46th Anniversary of Star Trek theme

I just saw that myself, and laughed. It's less obscure than some of their other anniversaries, though.

I just realised you can click on many elements - try it!

That is a classic, quite a laugh when you navigate around it.

Very nice.
I can't think of another film, television or radio program that has had such an enduring effect on our culture or spawned so many offspring.
Forty six years on and series that never had many viewers to begin with has become one of the most cited, quoted and referenced shows ever, surpassing even its nerd-base

When I worked in mergers & aquisitions (hostile takeovers, really) in the 90s, our favourite phrase was: "Resistance is futile. Prepare to be assimilated"!
Probably not so funny if you were on the receiving end, but I don't think more than five people in a department of 40 had seen the show and yet everyone new the reference.
