KIWI-OSD #1047 Video Time Inserter, including Garmin 18LVC GPS and DB9 serial cable.
This device will write the time, accurate to 0.001 seconds on every video frame (actually every video field), as well as keeping count of the number of fields timestamped. During startup it will give longitude, latitude, elevation, date, as well as geoid offset. Datums are WGS84 (lat and long) and msl (altitude).
Typically this device is used to time astronomical events - occultation and eclipse events, but can be used for any time stamping application. There are a number of these devices on mountain tops in the Rocky Mountains to observe sprite events.
