Good fun show called How its Made, which is basically what is says.

The telescope episode, about 5 minutes worth of watching that gives a nice base idea on how they mass produce them. CNC milling, mirror polishing, etc.

I've been watching this show for years. It's great. Anyone else notice its title sequence though is "How It's Mad" ?

Shows you how to make everything from an Astrolabe to a Zoetrope.

Nice. Looks like Orion optics uk manufacturer.

Pretty sophisticated setup they have by look of it.
