NGC 253 - again

I can't compete with Colin - but here is my NGC 253 so far.

I can collect blue Nathan - its red that seems to elude me.

Still, not bad from light polluted Sydney. This is 3 hours L and 75 minutes R, G and B. Taken with RC8 and QSI 583 wsg.

The best part about this image is that it was taken while I slept - I've started to trust the weather report and have let CCD Autopilot run things. What a joy to collect several hours data without losing sleep!

Comments most welcome

Pete

Looks pretty good for a shot from the city, Pete!

Pete
yours is still pretty good!
I can get blue in mine... have to get a bit tricky with a star mask and playing with the blue curve though.
I might post it tomorrow if I remember.

Thanks for the comments guys.

I started on NGC 300 last night - looking at other pics, I suspect it was not a good choice with the moon so fat at the moment. Might be time to switch to Ha for a bit.

Hi Pete,

Another great photo.

The fact that your doing it from inner city Sydney is amazing.

Thanks Ross - I appreciate the comment

I plan to try and add som Ha to this one. I think it should be bright enough. I'm still a novice with PI and so I can't get the colour quite right. Some Ha may help bring out the red star forming regions
