Ngc 253

Hi all,

Please find below a link to my latest image using the PlaneWave CDK-700. The target is the many times imaged NGC-253. CCD Inspector reported average FWHM of about 2.5 through the night. All subs were binned 2x2.

Image is here http://www.astrobin.com/18396/
Scope PlaneWave CDK-700
Guiding MMOAG with Lodestar (also binned 2x2)

Astrodon Gen2 5 nm Filters
Camera FLI PL-16803

Guiding much improved over my first posting

Regards

Colin Eldridge

Wonderful shot Colin. What a wonderful vista 253 is and you've captured so much detail.

I give up

I collected about 4 hours on this target last night but I don't think I'll bother processing it. That shot is just so good.

Well done

Pete

Thank you all for your very kind comments. I feel sure the image posted has lost some clarity in the upload/download from Astrobin, though I must admit I slipped up and did not post the link to the "full" image. Is there a better way of doing this ?.

My thoughts exactly. Got 5hrs the other day and mine looks nothing like this
I have no blue in my 253 at all.

Good job Colin - the destroyer of NGC253 dreams!
j/k.

Wow - that's the best NGC 253 I've seen in a long time.
