For sale I have my HEQ5 mount with the latest version hand controller.
I am the second owner, the previous owner hypertuned this mount and added an interesting support to the legs to improve rigidity. These mods have been so successful this mount really does punch above its weight! As proof of performance I have attached an unprocessed file (other than resizing) straight from the camera of a 5.5min exposure using this mount. This is a guided frame at 1800mm focal length, with the mount carrying 13kg+. I'm not a good imager but thats impressive for such a small mount to image at such a long focal length when loaded to near the max. Also included is an EQDIRECT adapter allowing you to unlock even more potential from this mount (I've never used it).
The mount is one of the earlier models, but still has the same specs as the new ones and has always been looked after and stored inside. The previous owner also stuck velcro all over the mount which does detract a little from its looks but is very functional for accessories when imaging. I and the previous owner have been so fastidious with this mount that it still has its original protective plastic film over the hand controller screen, its never been removed! The mount does however show the usual cosmetic bumps and scratches associated with use.
Included is: The mount and tripod, 2x weights. EQ Direct Box from Shoestring Astronomy, and what I think is the little device to allow upgrading the firmware. I haven't used either the firmware updating cable or the EQ Direct so I can't comment on how they are used.
