What a great hobby we have

What to do while waiting for your exposures to finish? Go find another camera :-)

Taken on my friend's D800 with a fisheye lens. We went for a roadtrip out to just east of Kilcoy (another 30min in the car and we would have ended up at astrofest).

I wish we got views like this closer to the city.

Nice shot Chris Whenever I have my scope out I can't resist grabbing another camera and taking a behind the scenes photo.

You know, I keep forgetting to do that.
I say to myself to take a wide shot of the setup under the stars but when I'm out there I get so wrapped up with the main imaging, I forget to get the behind the scenes shot.

I'll have to set my laptop to remind me.

Nice shot thanks Chris.

Oh wow, what an awe inspiring shot Chris.

Seriously, I am spending more and more time in this forum and while I appreciate the work and dedication in Planetary and Deep Sky Images, for me the images here just "do it" they are just so imaginative, thought provoking, so what I want to share with family, friends and workmates this is the oooh ahh and the sizzle in astronomy.

This is fabulous Astronomy guys, so very, very well done, congrats to all contributors here. Artwork pure artwork.

Thanks all for the praise

Jeanette I'm not sure which winery it was. Actually because it was so dark we didn't even know it was a winery until the owners came home at 12am and their highbeams lit up the mountain.

It had the letters BKK written on the gate, and that's about the only identifying markings we saw. It was at the very end of Grays Rd in Royston first turn off after the D'Aguilar Highway camping reserve.

Andrew not sure how you can get "wrapped up" in imaging, given part of imaging is sitting around and doing nothing for 3 hours
