hi Mario,
as Leon say's, well done,
my aim is to view Pluto, (the Dot) with my outfit when I can,
can you supply further info to pinpoint Pluto,
as I am sure I am not the only one interested in Pluto,

regards,
Peter.

Thanks Leon and Peter.

Peter, to find Pluto I used GoTo on my mount, took a 5 minute exposure and then sat down with Stellarium comparing my image to it. After about 15 minutes I was able to deduce which dot was Pluto! The actual dot that I've pointed at are two dots close together forming an elongated "star" with Pluto being the top part of this elongation. Sorry I can't be of more help....

Mario

You've captured more of a disc than a dot.

I am astounded you have managed to capture Pluto as a disc.

Were you using the set up in your sig? It must have been extremely good seeing. What EP/barlow combo did you use for this?

Very well done.

hi Mario,
you have explained it well, with your setup,
I can find Pluto on Stellarium software, now to find it real time,
hoping for clear skies,
regards,
Peter.

Whoa! Nice! Well done, Mario.

Btw, totally off topic here, I apologise for missing your birthday last week (just doing scan of older threads). So pls accept my belated birthday wishes- happy birthday and I hope you had a wonderful day, Mario.

Maybe for you. I have no idea, does that mean I shouldn't ask?

Well Done Mario
Even for my 16" scope it is now getting a difficult target
but still doable.
Cheers

Mario, our resident Clyde Tombaugh.

I am truely impressed. Congratulations on the capture mate, .

I take heart that it is an achieveable visual target.

Thanks everyone but I didn't see it visually!!

As mentioned previously, it took a 5 minute exposure to track it down, not really your planetary type exposure.

Anyway, that's one off the list....

Cheers,
Mario

Well done Mario.

I've still yet to capture an image of Pluto.
