I've always considered Facebook and Twitter to be the modern equivalent of “CB Radio". They have a similar level of conversational IQ.

I like the analogy.
Used to be a CB'r but with a highly moded radio, would slide off sideband frequency to get away from that IQ level you refer to.

I had an email from facebook this morning telling me that someone had tried to log in to my (rarely used) account from an unknown computer. When I tried to log in it came up saying that the attempt had been from Europe(with a map reference given) This certainly wasn't me and I have now reset the password etc. Why would anyone want to hack into a rarely use account?

Have a FB account that I almost never use. Tried a few times, cannot see the attraction.
Hopefully that is enough to get me past the psychopath tag!!

Looks like I am sane. I have a facebook account that I use almost daily.
I have found old friends I had lost contact with and had them find me and reconnect.
It's been good.
As to the IQ of the conversations you have on facebook or twitter that is really down to the IQ of the one using it don't you think?
Bit like saying people who use gps goto scopes are totally dumb. A big all sweeping presumption.
