Outdoor Desks

So I was looking around this afternoon to see what I could find in the way of a cheap outdoor table that isnt going to be bothered by elements some storage for astro accesories and portable. All things which my current arrangement lacks.

I think I've fallen in love, pity about the cost though.

Does it come with an allen key?
I use a small computer desk with a side sliding shelf. I plan to bolt some sliders under the table and slot in some plastic bins on them.

I don't so much have a desk as a "cubby house" for my laptop that I put together with a cheap plastic table, plastic container and a couple of door-stop clips. Total cost ~$50 all up. It's more stable than it looks. I have a red screen over the laptop, but this limits extraneous light impact to others, keeps the dew away and puts the laptop at a comfortable height.

I'm limited by what fits in the boot of my car, so large desks, though attractive, are a no-go for me.

I came across a good contender for portable astro table (for laptop etc.) today in Bunnings.

Called a "4 ft Blow Mould Table", it is 122 x 60 x 73 (H) cm when fully extended, but ingeniously folds to 61 x 60 cm and less than 10cm thick - very easy to slide into the car boot.

Cost: $35.

Why an ironing board you ask?
As I viewed objects higher in the sky and had to adjust the height of my stellar chair to suit, it annoyed me that I couldn't reach the table to write any observation notes down. So Les Dalrymple (contributing editor of AS&T mag.) came to my aid and said that's what many people use including himself.

I use a fold out camping table, it comes with four built in seats and ample room for laptops and other bits n pieces.

When not in use it all folds up into itself and turns into a little brief case.
