Sun today

Hi All,

Just lovely this sun spot isn't it.

Finally cleaned the spots off the DMK21au and also got out the double stack for the pst.Terrific toys these PSTs.

First go straight out of the registax stacking software. 30 seconds at 30fps. No photoshop or anything else because I don't know how to use it yet. OH and manually tracked for 30secs on an old TAL mount.

B and W and Colour

cheers
Karen

Hi Karen
That has come out quite well! Manual tracking - that is hard work.
What quality % did you set in Registax?

it was on 70% lowest quality - i think thats the default setting - love to have some suggestions about what good settings are
Manual tracking - lucky i have the second mount actually - the eq6 has the lx200 on it and i wasn't about to pull it off :-)
cheers

Can you add a motor to the old mount? - they are relatively cheap and make life very easy!
I use DMK's too and I try to take 1000 to 1500 images (about 1.5 mins) and try to stack 75-100 images in Registax - quality varies between 85-95%.
All I do then in move the sliders to an appealing level, play with contrast and brightness and then save.
Please yell out if you need more.
