Awesome new Mars panorama

This full-circle scene combines 817 images taken by the panoramic camera (Pancam) on NASA's Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity. It shows the terrain that surrounded the rover while it was stationary for four months of work during its most recent Martian winter.

It's fabulous!
I came across it on facebook this morning and couldn't resist making it my new desktop background.
Aside from that spectacular scenery, I love the crop circle look-a-like Rover tracks- about time we did payback on another planet for a change.

The best way to look at this fabulous pic, is to go into Yesterdays APOD click on the picture and you will get a high Resolution pic and it is scrollable.
It is humongous makes you feel like you are there
Cheers

Thanks Ron, I didn't know I could do that- such great detail, almost as if I can taste that Martian dirt!
