The Sun in Ha and High Resolution on 2012-06-30

Hi everyone,

There you have a couple of images of the Sun in HR, of the main active regions and some nice prominences, taken on Saturday 2012-06-30.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking.

From the first solar image I saw you produce to now seems like such a short time but these two high res shots are simply superb. Your skills as a solar photographer are complete and your images of very high quality. I am pleased to have seen your progression Fernando.

Thank you for the kind comment.
I am using a 127mm f/7.5 APO refractor from Explore Scientific and a Daystar 0.4A Ha filter. For those images I also used a Televue Powermate x4, to make an EFL f/30.

Ray: Thank you very much for your appreciation.

Best Regards,

Fernando

Ivan,
Thank you very much for your comment, I really appreciated it.

Just some information that was missing in the description of the setup:

1- The Ha filter from Daystar was an ION (they have another models)

2- I use an electric focuser from Starlight Instruments which allow me to have a very fine focus without having to touch the scope. This is a fundamental item for a high resolution setup

Best Regards.

Fernando
