Moonage July 1st

Imaged through my ED80 using the Canon 550d. A total of 53 images stacked in Registax 6 and processed in CS3.
Processed so as to accentuate the Moon's surface mineral deposits.

Warren, there is just the scopes focuser. I focused on alpha centauri this time, while I was doing the mounts alignment.
The seeing was pretty darn good too. Shame it wasnt new moon, it would have been the best night in ages.

Thanks for the kind comments everyone.

Pretty impressive resolution there Jeanette and with that image scale would make a great wall poster. One day I hope to get around to doing something similar with my 450D but when the seeing is good I just have this compulsion to image the planets.

Very well done.
Regards
Trevor

I like the deep basin at about 11.30 - you can see two peaks against the blackness of space!
