Hey I'm back, but who knows for how long...

Howdy people.
Been very quiet from me lately. No images, no observing. Crap weather to boot. Don't ya just love the equinox's!
Also I have been on the hunt for new work. My last job gave me the boot all of a sudden, and I landed pretty much you know where!
So I've been running around trying to find new work, and it took me 3 rejections before I landed a job! I've never had a rejection before. It's either age or looks starting to go against me!! Kinda like getting a F for woodwork in 5th form. You start to doubt your abilities.
Anyway I have lannded a job as a DSP engineer for a company called Phitek http://www.phitek.com They make audio systems for consumer and avionics. Sounds like a cool job and will be very challanging!
The down side is that is does mean we will be moving to Auckland, and astronomy will have to be limited exclusively to "out of town escapes"
Wish me luck. I start on the 15th of May....
Hopefully I can find a bit more time for IIS now that I have got the "find a job" bug of my shoulder...
Cheers

What a shame Robby, I was workin' on a job I thought you'd like. 15 hours a week checking trails on a mountain bike, $75,000 a year, all the Tui you could drink ( and not the 4% one, the new 16% one ) and the nearest town light about 200km away. Oh well I'll just have to take it myself. That's life

Good luck with the new job mate, I hope it all works out well for you. There's still a cot over here for the pair of you if it doesn't work out and the west island starts to look attractive.

PS. It was definately the looks

Hey Paul, no fair! Gotta give me a shot at that job! I haven's signed the contract yet!
We have actually got a clear night tonight.... So I might do an image or two before moon up at 9pm. Then some Jupiter if the seeing allows...
Good to be back into it...
Cheers
