48 hours on a 40 million pixel CCD

Tada! Now that I got your attention can reveal that I didn't win the lottery nor sold out a kidney, it is just a 4 panels mosaic with my trusty 16803, measuring more than 6350 pixels per side
Pay attention that the largest resolution may take a while to load, however it is worthing the wait to appreciate the smaller details on the subject.

I feel a bit ashamed to mention the subject, so I will instead let you discover it on the link below:

A total light collection of more than 48 hours (mostly Ha and OIII) between this and last year.

I have been struggling with the color balance and overall appearance, I am not yet convinced about the final result so all your comments will be appreciated. Perhaps less contrasted? Or less saturated? I look forward for your inputs!

Sorry, looks a little " posterised" and un-natural to me. The dynamic range is compressed and colour a little too blue.

Still a pretty image, and I can see some rolling their eyes, but hey, it often comes down to personal taste...and I call it as I see it

Agree with Peter. The image looks quite flat and at original resolution shows this very well. It does look a little blue, but colour in NB tends to be dealers choice.

I am sure you will go over this several times more yet and I look forward to your future interpretations of the data.

This looks very vibrant Marco and provides a great journey surfing around the large version. The resolution of the finer features seems a little lower than I would have expected but zoomed out a bit it is a great field and has plenty of zing . Certainly not conventional in appearence so it won't totally please everyone but c'est la vie... Another great project executed very nicely....look out when I finally get an observatory!!! ....

Thanks everybody for the nice words and even more for the constructive critics, as I wrote the first one doubtful about this processing was me. Indeed it is an unconventional version, I have reprocessed with your feedbacks the image and now I have uploaded a more traditional one, using the same dataset.

I would really appreciate to have your opinion on which one you prefer, my preference is for the second one

Thanks Mike, well, my FL is still pretty little and I didn't apply any deconvolution on the luminance, but definitely there is margin to improve as per your note, thanks mate

Hmmm? not sure really, I like both versions . From a true colour perspective I think the latest is closer to natural RGB but the first one is quite striking...toss a coin
