I am hopeless at time zones

We are involved in taking photos of the transit of venus with a school in Hong Kong (2 hours behind us) and we have been asked to take photo every half and hour. An email came through saying this

So, I would suggest we could take a photo every 1/2 hour in exact time.
e.g. 22:30 UTC, 23:00 UTC, 23:30 UTC , ............ until 04:30

We are on the sunshine coast in Queensland so if I take photos at 8, 8.30, 9 and so on every half an hour should that satisfy the school in Hong Kong???

22:30 UTC is 8:30am here, so start then and take a photo every half hour until 2:30pm.

The transit starts around 08:16 and ends around 14:44 AEST so you might want a few around there as well.

C'mon Mark, you can't tell me you haven't had to program GMT +10 into a handset at some point surely!

All the best at the school tomorrow. Sounds like you guys are going to have a ball. Hope weather behaves.
