This is an HaLRGB image of Gum 14 consisting of 420:180:90:90:90 minutes.

In the top right of the image you will see a bit of the outer edges of the Vela SNR.

Hi Martin, yeah, it's a shocker... ;-)

In my opinion, great colour, star colour retained throughout, no dust bunnies or vignation that I can see, no coma, great fov, appears to be in focus and has good depth. But you know ? I can't quite put my finger on it...snort... Great image, thank you very much for sharing, always , always inspirational..always bloody perfect. On ya.. Any idea how many times you crop on apod when am researching what an image SHOULD look like?

Very high standard image Martin - usual! Good job. If Gum14 is as faint as Gum17, amazing, as I found Gum14 to be very faint.

Yes, Gum 14 is sure faint - didn't think I was going to be able to produce a final image given the colour exposures.....Several hours of Ha was needed.

Nice work Martin. So many interesting objects in the field. I particularly like the way you have made the dust lanes blend into the nebulosity. I had trouble doing this with an image last year of B92 and have been meaning to go back and reprocess the data. I would like to see the star colour more saturated but that is personal taste really. Nice little PN in the field adds that touch of how wide the field is in reality.
