Bode's Nebula (M81)
Hi folks
this image should have been finished prior to my recent M51, but I have been unable to reveal Arp's Loop, despite many hours of exposure, without adding significant noise. This really ruined the image, so the version here crops that out. I will now have to wait until next season to get an extra 10-15 hours to do it justice. I do have a version showing it, but as I say, it spoils the fine data in the main galaxy.
http://www.martinpughastrophotograph...LRGB-Final.jpg
Acquired from Heaven's Mirror Observatory in the Sierra Nevada, this is a HaLRGB image comprising 7hrs 40mins:9hrs 40:4:4:4 hours.
Hope you like it as much as M51
Cheers and thanks for checking it out
Martin

Don't really think anyone is worthy!
It's amazing what can be achieved, and still we miss what we're after.
Lovely work Martin!

Wow - that's great.
Shows us what the CDK17 can do.
Must be fun to obtain data like that.

Well Martin, after seeing your latest work, you can teach Adam Block a few things about image processing. LOL These are simply wonderful and you have the processing nailed!
