M16

After a month of guiding issues and frustration, I think I have come to the bottom of the problem. Now guiding in MaximDL instead of PHD.

Since everything was working so well I thought I'd "try" grab some shots of M16.

I think it came out pretty good. Better than I expected. What do you guys think.

Thanks. It was awesome to see the stars round for a change! Every image was identical, and they all stacked, no bad ones!

I like the second shot -really nice. Hubble has ruined M16 as every one tries to duplicate it close up and it just fails, but I think the wider view is more interesting.

I know where you're coming from Allan, but I am still amazed what we can see with small scopes here on terra firm vs Hubble!

Nice shots Erik - wouldn't be surprised if you could push a bit more colour out of that image.

Very good photos Erik.

Nice stars and detail.

My favourite is the wide shot.

Thanks for the good feedback guys. I'll try to bring some more red out. I like the wider view also, might get it printed.

Thanks again.

Nice, as suggested probably a little more colour saturation would boost it
