Standard Messier 8

Lord knows.... the world doesn't really need another vanilla M8!

... but as I already had the H-alpha data, I figured it needed a little colour.
Common subject matter, but brushed up OK?

Wow! With that pin sharp starfield to frame it, a wonderful shot.

It's OK, but needs another four (mosaic) fames to really get going.

What's this DSO? I'm not familiar with it.
Top shot as per usual Peter. Great details.

Thanks for showing - interesting to see how a pro handles the colours which I find challenging in this bright object.

I love that you've managed to include the cluster at bottom left. Beautiful, subtle processing. That's a killer image.

Thanks for posting,
Cam

Nice vibrancy, great detail but the magenta is maybe just a little too white clipped? Well it looks that way. Only in some areas though. I saw the first version and thought that was quite nice.

Preferred the original version. It's lost some of it's subtlety. Still a great shot.

Cheers,

Very nice result. But hey Peter - 60 30 30 30? 2 1/2 hours - where's your 15-20 hour masterpiece??

Very nice - looks 3D! I assume I'm looking at the latest version...? (Getting confused with the thread trail.)
