Massive Search Light over Ipswich, SE Qld

Has anyone seen a massive search light over Ipswich in SE Qld?

It looks like it would be easily visable all over Brisbane.

I've been on a overseas holiday for the last 3 weeks and have only just noticed it. I have seen it between 6:30pm and about 7:30pm on 13th and 14th of May.

My Skycam caught the following picture of the search light.
The beam starts at the 3 o'clock position and extends to 11 o'clock.

The beam flashes on and off and swings all over the sky.

Maybe it's another comet?!
