Omega Centauri - NGC 5139

Hi everyone,

here's an image I did recently of Omega Centauri - NGC 5139.

It's 9 x 30 second exposures @ ISO800 with the modified Canon 300D on the 12-inch f/5 GSO telescope - handguided with 4.5" guidescope. Images are dark-subtracted, flat fielded, offset adjusted with IRIS. Image is masked
to preserve the stars at the core, in PS.

One thing I like about this image is that it shows the yellow stars scattered throughout the star cluster.

Great shot Paul for hand guided,as you say it's good to see the colour in the stars,by the way Paul (1 ponders) did you get any good shots of Jupiter?

Excellent shot Paul, look at all those fainter blue stars as well. Are they the known "blue stragglers" that are found in that cluster I wonder?
