I was trolling through past images looking for possible submissions for the IIS Calendar and came across an M16 data set from 2009....so I just had to have a play with the processing again
I didn't submit it for consideration but this is what I came up with
Yes (152 ) and yes...although not sure the AG12 will hammer the Starfire without some bloody good seeing...that I don't really get from my spot in Newie . The seeing on the night with the starfire was quite poor too though ...The field of view is much larger with the AG12 and new Proline 16803 but then as this cropped image reflects, the interesting bits would be in the middle 1/3 of such a big field anyway.
Very nice one Mike, seasoned ingredients for a fresh dish preparred with your excellent cooking expertise I liked the food tasting, now looking for more (e.g. added data from your speedy scope )
Makes me feel a little inadequate though, oh well I'll keep plodding away and in the next couple of years I might have something half this good!
Cheers,
Justin.
No need to feel inadequate, you are doing some fine stuff already Justin

I'm sure when Hubble gets retired, Mike will be first in line to carry it back here on his shoulder and plonk that baby down on his mount and fire it back up for some more goodness.....I can send you the Hubble team leader's phone number if you like Mike?

An Aussie forum friend of mine composed this a number of years ago now
Pretty cool. My absolute fav though was that NB/RGB blend of the Rosette you did a while ago and entered at the star party comp. That's as good as it gets IMHO.

Well thank ya pardner, yes that Rosette has been one of my more popular efforts I guess
