Autostakkert2 Image loading

Hi all,

Has anyone got the latest version of Autostakkert2 and are able to load up image files such as jpeg, tif etc...? I downloaded the latest version AutoStakkert!2.1.0.5 which according to the authors notes says he has fixed it to make these files visible, but I am unable to see them. I just want to know if anyone else has the same bug? I have notified Emil, but no response yet.

Yep. I've never been able to load any JPG/JPEG/TIF/PNG/BMP in any version, & I have 4 versions. Haven't worried too much about it as yet though. Think Emil must be away/busy because we were in regular contact recently & he suddenly dissapeared.

You need to put all your bmps into their own folder and drag and drop the folder into AS.

Using same version I couldn't do it either I can only see All supported images, SER and AVI's under the file types. I tried dragging and dropping the files into Autostakkert, I only get a round circle with a diagonal line through it.

When you start AS, two windows open. One is light grey, with the 3 processing steps on it, the other is dark grey titled "Frame View"
You need to drag and drop the folder onto the Light Grey window.

Here's what happens when I try to do as you suggest JJJ. Dragged & dropped from the folder you see in the screenshot called 'new folder' As I say, I'm using a BETA version right now but I've tried all versions - Same problem. I'm over it, but one day I wouldn't mind it working

I'm running the same John. I'm exporting my image sequence out of Virtual Dub.
Damn software conflicts. I've had multitudes of them since purchasing this camera and computer.
I still can't get either AS or Registax to read any form of avi that I convert from the 550D.
I'll download your version John and see if it works on my machine.

Okay think I worked it out. wouldn't work under xpsp3 compatibility mode and admin privileges, so I run it normally. I then select the FOLDER the images are in and dragged that onto the 1)Open button, the BMP's then loaded. Running Win7 64bit Homopremiumus.

Thanks JJJ. Yeah I'm saving about 200 frames out of an AVI using virtualDub; converting to BMP's & then dragging & dropping that folder, but it's still not working. There's two ways to save files in VD - as a direct stream copy or full processing mode = I've tried both. The only thing I can think of as to why I'm having the problem is that my AVI's are not colour, but Y800 that needs to be debayered..Still, that should not effect things because normally my Y800 AVI's get debayered by me using Autostakkert..!

hmm I just got an avi, went into VD, exported frames as an image sequence, then put them through Autostakkert. Just used the AVI downloaded from this page http://sweiller.free.fr/RCE2006/Satu...Processing.htm

"Yep. I've never been able to load any JPG/JPEG/TIF/PNG/BMP in any version, & I have 4 versions. Haven't worried too much about it as yet though. "

I have been able to open most images at least in the latest beta version, If anyone has trouble opening images, please do send them to me so I can see what is (not) happening.

"Think Emil must be away/busy because we were in regular contact recently & he suddenly dissapeared."

Emil has just been rather lazy lately. I just graduated from college, I have been working in my parents garding, cycling a bit with my friends, and even though I have more time now than in the last couple of months, I just didn't feel like programming or being busy with astronomy (the weather was also rather poor, so that might have had something to do with it).

Hi Emil & congrats on your graduation You deserve to take it easy I think!

I'm not too concerned about this dragging & dropping of images into AS!2 as I generally work with AVI's

Have fun!
