Leo Triplet

Here's my attempt at imaging the Leo Triplet.

Details
Scope: 8" Newt
Mount: EQ6
Camera: Unmodded 400d
Exposures: Combination of 8min @ ISO800 and 10mins @ ISO1600 (finally able to image out to 10mins ). Total just under 6hrs of data.
Stacked in DSS and processed in PS3.

Hi Dan,

That's a very clean image, and good detail!
I tried this one earlier this year, but need to have another go seeing your effort.

Cheers,

Justin.

Great result Dan, and a serious amount of capture time in this one.

Thanks all. Yeah 6 hrs is probably an overkill for me. I might just stick to maybe 3-4hrs from now.

Well done Dan. Congrats on the 6 Hrs of data it is a great effort which takes dedication if you don't have an obsy! Is it possible to push the saturation a little for a bit more colour? Above all an impressive DSLR image.

Very impressie image for DSLR. It looks though a bit yellow and not enough blue. Often galaxies arms have a bluish colour and the core yellowish.
