Light Pollution

Wouldn't like to be observing in the UK, or most places in Europe either.

A short drive to a good dark site seems a minor inconvenience!!!

Interesting read, good luck to them fighting that one.
Bring on World Heritage listing for dark skies.

An old NASA map from APOD, I wonder how much has changed in 12 years.

It's such a shame, I just spent a week in one of the better dark sky areas in France and compared to where I live which is arguably the worst light pollution in Europe the difference is huge. It was the best sky I had seen since leaving Oz. It really made me appreciate even more how good we have it at home.
