Still troubled with a recalcitrant FSQ106 I currently have little else to do but resort to the northern hemisphere. Here's my latest effort, the galaxies M81 and M82. I blended in 5 hours of Ha to bring out the hydrogen emission which worked out reasonably successfully I think. There is a lot of galactic cirrus in this region but you have to go pretty deep to get it. This will be the last northern object for a while as I'm not getting the telescope back until the end of April.
Thanks Paul. I've been having a look at some other m81 and m82 images and frankly I think the only good thing about this one is the Ha. Not sure what went wrong. A reprocess is definitely in the works.
