Mars Apr 8th 9.5 UT

Was lucky to get this image tonight. Only managed one complete RGB set before my laptop battery gave out -- turns out the charger has died, so was not charging it.

While trying to scrounge another charger, it started to rain, which put an end to proceedings for the night. Anyhow, gave me time to process this set and the Venus from earlier in the evening.

This set was taken at 7pm local time, when Mars was still quite low in the sky, but I'm pleased the three Tharsis volcanoes can be seen sticking out from the cloud banks at the lower left, and Olympus Mons is just rounding the terminator.

C11 + Orion RGB filters + TV 3x Barlow + DMK21AU04.AS camera.

Thanks for the compliment Rob. Must say I was glad to get an image like this at this late stage of the apparition.
