Car survey

Dont know if its a boy thing or just me but i love cars... always have! I am not mechanically minded at all but still... its a bit of a love affair i guess

anyhow just a quick survey on cars.

1. Whats your favoutite pre 1990 made car
this is hard for me but the old citroen traction avant gives a wonderful gangter look or the citroen ds21, what a classic.

2. Whats your favourite current model car?
hmm... aston martin db9? why did i give myself such hard questions? porsche gt3 maybe, big porsche fan... i once considered buying an 80s' 911.

3. Of the cars you have owned, what was your favourite?
If youhavent guessed by now i am a citroen fan. i owned a BX 16trs. it wasnt fast or overly luxurious but man did it have character. it was purchased second hand and lasted me quite a while. unfortunately citroen at the time did some cost cutting on its plastics and at the time i sold it its plastics were crumbly.

4. What is your current car?
2001 holden astra 3 door. it gets me from A to B but its not particularly flash... boy do i miss my BX

5. How many cars have you owned?
hmm.. 4. the astra, an ef falcon, chrysler sigma, and my old citroen BX

6. ok this is the last one... whats your preference: style or practicality?
dispite my current ride, style all the way

thanks in advance for taking the time to do my survey

2. Undecided

3. Fuel injected Datsun 260z

4. 2003 Subaru Impreza RX sports wagon

5. Seven, Datsun Homer Van, Datsun 180B, UC Torana, Mitsubishi Lancer, Datsun 260z, 1998 Subaru Impreza, 2003 Subaru Impreza.

6. Both, but if I must choose only one, it has to be practicality, how else am I going to shift the 16"?

Datsun 260z
I used to own one of those and although my head used to hit the roof I loved that car for its sporty handling and the way you slip into it like a glove.

The real question is.....

Do you buy a car to fit your scope, or buy a scope to fit the car

1. Whats your favoutite pre 1990 made car
See picture below. It is the Hannibal 8 from the movie "The Great Race". It was driven by Professor Fate and pre-dated all James Bond cars as far as gadgets go. It was powered by 2 engines driving the 4 rear wheels. The body of the car was able to rise up on a scissor lift. It had a forward mounted cannon which could fold back below the bonnet. It had a forward mounted conical heat ray to melt snow/ice. It had a smoke screen device, rear mounted, to foil any pursuers.

2. Whats your favourite current model car?
The Chrysler PT Cruiser. I love the retro look. (note smilie face looks like the Chrysler grill)

3. Of the cars you have owned, what was your favourite?
Mazda 626 Eclipse Station Wagon. 1991 model. When I lived in the NT I got this car up to 200 km/h!! The tacho was reading 5,500 rpm (red lines at 6) and I was in 5th gear and I could SEE the fuel gauge moving!! The things you do when young.

4. What is your current car?
As above....what else would an amateur astronomer drive? The car is white so I call it "The White Shadow".

5. How many cars have you owned?
Two.

6. ok this is the last one... whats your preference: style or practicality?
A bit of both but erring towards style. It's not really a car per se but I'd love to be able to drive around in a WWII German Half Track!

1. Mercedes 300SL or a tough 60's American muscle car.

2. Anything with grunt and style, and not made in Australia.

3. My current car, 2004 Holden Vectra CDXi. Has plenty of power, good fuel consumption, drives well, is very comfortable and has not failed me, even in 46+degree heat the AC was good which suprised me for a European car.

4. same answer as Question 3.

5. VK calais with a hot 308 (what a waste of money that was)
'99 Jackaroo 4x4 turbo diesel (a lemon)
'00 Rodeo 4x4 turbo diesel with a ton of accessories
'04 Vectra CDXi

6. Style all the way

2. 2007 Ford Shelby Mustang, only since they look like the older models again.

3. 1959 Oldsmobile Super 88. This sucker was built like a tank. Gas mileage was probably comparable to a tank too - lol.

4. Ford F150 pickup truck.

5. 13, in which 8 were cars, 3 were vans, and 2 were trucks.

6. Practicality nowadays. I've got to have a truck to haul things around. If I want to drive a sporty vehicle, I drive my wife's car.
