Saturn 10th March

I thought I might see how my 550D compared to the spc900 for planetary capture, and wowee what a difference.
Here's the video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GBRA1...2&feature=plcp
and here is the resulting image.
Now I need to hone my processing skills and hope for more clear skies in the near future.

Scope 10" goto dob, 2x Big Barlow, 50mm extension tube, Canon 550D in Video Crop mode.
Might slip a longer ext. tube on it next time and try for more focal length that way.
Image is made from 386 subs out of approx 3000.
Video converted in DVDConvPro and stacked in Registax 5, processess in CS3.

Sorry JJJ saw this earlier today but didn't have time to reply, then I had a hell of a time finding it again until now

Very nice work for the equipment you are using!

Sweet JJJ. Sounds like the DSLR is a pretty versatile imaging device.
