Awesome birthday present Elizabeth. That's a great telescope. You are gonna have so much fun with that.

Your Dad's a pretty nice guy and you must be fairly special yourself to get something like that.

Wishing you a wonderful birthday and lots of clear skies

It looks like you've got 1 inch of aperture for every birthday you've had.... (8 years = 8").

Happy Birthday.

P.S. hope this gives you an idea for your 12th b'day.....

Looks great Elizabeth...you must be so happy.

Your scope is much better then your fathers Takahashi TOA 130.

Tell your dad to supply you with 3 or 4 Nagler eyepieces...these are perfect for 8 year old eyes.

Ask him.

Hello Astro Girl. I missed welcoming you the other day. to Iceinspace.

WOW Fantastic pressie Elizabeth. An 8" Lightbridge. I am so jealous.

My dad bought me a telescope when I was about 10 or 11, but it was only about 60mm (2.5"). I used it up until 2 years ago when it blew off the veranda and broke. that made it about 33 or 34 years old. I hope you get to enjoy yours for that long. They are great fun.

Elizabeth,

Dont listen to Paul...what a nightmare owning the same scope for 34 years.

Tell your dad you need and upgrade atleast every 2 years.

I hope the weather was nice last night.

My daughter Jessica can't wait to see these pictures. Guess who also now wants a telescope??
