Horsehead Nebula. A shocker my first

I gave the Horsehead neb a shot last night. It was a fluke getting a pic of it considering the moon was so bright and i dont have any filters at all.

Can't really see it. adding blue to the pic brings out more details. might have another go at it tonight.

I can see it clearly! This is your best shot yet, I reckon. The horsehead is a difficult object. Yes, just wait till the Moon buggers off, and you'll get even better shots.

thanks guys. I really thought it was a shocker but gave it a go anyway. my best shot steve? no wayy.

Thanks for your comments starcrazzy. I get sick of taking pics of the same objects eg: M42, ETA Carina etc..etc. need abit of challenge

The Horsehead was 8 x 2 minute shots at 10:22pm . Had to jump from star to star and taking random shots around it to find it.

goooooo DSI!!!

I think its your best shot yet aswell...simply because of its difficulty..At a star party recently a guy there had the latest meade 8" sct with gps and all the bells and whistles and the dsi....he did manage to get a shot of the horse, but it took him most the night and it was no where near as good an image as yours....you say its a shocker, but infact its pure genius mate...well done...how bout gettin some of the galaxy's in the leo system...push that dsi, for the rest of us that have one,you are our champion...
