How good has melbourne weather been

Its been a long while since weather has been so good in melbourne during a period of no moon.

After 3 nights in the last 4 days in bed at 3am I am barely able to stay awake during the day after all the late nights recently imaging.

Sorry to rub it in for those of you up in QLD but skies have been pretty awesome down here for last week.

Yes it was awesome. I was down at the tennis and it was great weather even if a bit hot.

Yeah, wonderful weather and clear nights, but work has gotten in my way most of the time. I hope things are as good towards latter half of Feb 2012 when I'm planning some holiday time...! Fox

got back from Hungary on the 15th, and as it happened, that day marked the end of a disgusting cold and wintry week in Melbourne...... woke up at 1pm the next day to 35C heat and clear skies

The weather in Hungary was pretty bloody great, lots of clear nights and day time temps up to 11C! Snow only fell once in the 3 weeks i was there, during one evening....next morning it was sunny and all trace of snow had disappeared!

Last couple of nights have been interesting... as the sun set some nauseating slate-grey layer cloud moved in, but a couple of hours later perfect clear sky

Scope's outside cooling ready for Mars and Saturn tonight, couple of beers in hand aswell, sweet as

The seeing is very good tonight so far.

Weather has been great and by coincidence on weekends mainly.

Good luck to you all down south. The only clear skies I've had in the last month have coincided with 20 km/h winds making observing a frustrating waste of time.

I think someone has left the airco running a bit long down here today thou. Its about 1/2 the temp it was this time yesterday.
