Certainly havn't seen this kind of shot before!
When did you buy your plane and what Type is it?
Must have had it on auto pilot?

Nice shot. The aeroplane you pictured does in fact have a jet engine, two to be precise...lol..
What you saw id quite common for pilots, the way it works means that the aircraft shadow is always in the middle of the circular rainbow.

This optical phenomena is referred to as a "glory".
