So who bought the new bit of kit in NSW?

Someone must of bought something really, REALLY nice! The weather forecast looks terrible for NSW over the coming days! Own up, who did it?

A finder and mini-guide scope (no camera) shouldn't add up to this much bad weather. Maybe it is in anticipation of the other bits on order.

But it probably won't show until next week....

Suppose I could take pictures of the scope, rather than through it when it arrives

My AR102 arrive. Great looking scope. Good mechanics and included accessories. Also for those brighter objects a 2inch fringe killer filter.

In competition with Mike? Maybe you two can cross pollinate the data on one object to make some thing special - A Petonio?

Well that's at least 100mm worth of rain right there! Very nice!

I gave away something in the hope of reversing the "new kit" curse.

Cheers Petra d.

Not even close. I suspect Mike was still using a Meade when I placed the order. See below

1999. You do the math.

I kid you not, and that was for an AP160 (which I doubt will ever be produced in the future)

I swapped lists from the 160 for the RHA shortly after it was announced
(actually, prior to that, I think there was an AP Maksutov in there as well !)

Roland Christen makes the best optics on the planet IMHO but, like the rest of us grey haired buggers, is not getting any younger, so despite the extra cost or saying: "sorry don't want one"

I was compelled to take up the offer
