Solar storm...

Hi everyone!

I've just read this and thought it might be of some interest, especially to those in Brisbane dealing with other types of storms (and rain)!!

Cheers,
Mario

Thanks Mario.

There have been a few Aurora sightings down here in the south of Melbourne lately. I believe only viewable via a camera but still interesting news.

Cheers,
Af.

Well, I was travelling from London to Tokyo on Sunday night (GMT) and the pilot on the JAL flight informed everyone of the northern lights. The view out north was spectacular. Ive never seen an aurora but this was large and beautiful. We were over nothern Siberia at the time and at 35,000 ft and was distinctly green. I kicked myself for packing the company's 7D into the check in luggage!!!

A sight I will never forget.

Cheers,
Darrin (from an icy Tokyo)
