SONY Android tablet, 32 gig. Now trying to learn how to drive it ..
Went SONY because we have SONY TV and PS3 and it connects straight to these plus has an SD PORT, USB connection and other nice bits I like.
Downloaded Google Sky for astro use but having some problem getting it to find our home location so it sees the sky correctly. I'll figure it out eventually but help and tips from any Android afficianados would be appreciated.
Took it outside this evening and let the internal GPS do it's thing. Finally found our location and the sky oriented itself on screen. Unfortunately the clouds covered the sky so they were the only stars I saw .
At least I didn't have clouds on screen as well ....
Loads of free Android apps out there, mostly rubbish to be honest.

Apple may have more apps, but most of these are trashy also. The business of overpopulating app markets by all platforms has caused a plethora of trashy software, including many paid apps both Apple and Android alike.
Stick with Skysafari Pro and you should get something very decent. Sometimes these are discounted, so you may (or may not) want to wait.
