Swansea (Tasmania) seascapes

Hi all,

I've recently returned from 3 weeks in Tasmania. We stayed for a few days at Swansea on the east coast, which has beautiful views over Great Oyster Bay to Freycinet Peninsula. These images capture the ever-changing seascapes: the first two are from a cloudy morning, where sunlight shining through clouds onto sea mist created one of the best displays of crepuscular rays that I've seen; and the last two are taken late one afternoon as a cold front cleared over the sea, allowing the sunlight to reach the Hazards.

Hope you like them!

cheers,
Stephen

#4 is tops. Right light at the right time.

I think it would work better if the tree and boat weren't there, though, to add to the mysterious and fantastical feel.

Also, is it just me, or is that image slightly crooked?

Those rays are gorgeous.

Agreed. Those rays are spectacular, Stephen. Have to get down there some time.

Thanks Mike! I've been trying to decide which I like best out of 1 and 2 - perhaps you're right about #1...

Thanks Humayun!. I see what your getting at with the tree and boat. I'll try and re-position myself next time! I thought I'd checked all the horizons in Lightroom, but this one might have slipped through...

Thanks Troy! Yes, it's certainly worth a visit if you get a chance.

Thanks Rick! I was glad to have the camera with me to capture the display of rays!
