Thumbs up IISAC2011 article in Social/Life

Attendees at IISAC2011 on the Saturday night may have noticed me talking to a reporter/photographer Bow MacLeod during dinner.

He's from the magazine social/life, a new Newcastle/Hunter based magazine, and I finally got my hands on the digital link for the magazine in which the article appeared (the December edition).

Click on the December edition, and scroll to pages 18-19 and zoom in to read the article.

I think he did a great job, it's a good read

Yeh I did point that out during the first draft but it obviously wasn't corrected before print.

Great article Mike.
But I can't help but notice that lady astronomers were missed out. I guess we'll have to recruit more to the camps or the few of us that were there will have to make more noise to get noticed. LOL

You made quite a bit of noise on your own, with all your tripping over and giggling

But yes, more representation would be a good idea. I have some ideas.

Hi Mike

Can you please post the article in another format - unable to access the mag links due to access restrictions.

Cheers Petra d.

Hi Petra.

That's the only format I have it in currently. I'm expecting a hard copy in the mail soon - when I receive that, I'll scan it in and attach it.

Petra I had the same problem , I tried a few times and then I opened the front page , left it in the small version and opened pages 18-19 then resized them so I could read it , that worked .
Great artical Iceman .
I had better start saving for march 2013 , looks like it will be awsome.
Brian.
